Melbourne couple found with 15 kilograms of marijuana
A Melbourne couple have been caught growing 15 kilograms of marijuana at their house for medical reasons.
Matthew and Elizabeth Pallett only received a $500 fine each with no conviction.
It was recently decided medical cannabis will be legal in Victoria, however restricted, available initially to help kids with epilepsy.
Matthew told 3AW Mornings they have been growing it for five years because ‘the government kept refusing to provide’.
He has been using it for 38 years medicinally.
‘My spine was damaged when I was 12. At 17, I found out cannabis worked,’ Matthew told Neil Mitchell.
