Horror movie’: Inner Melbourne school inundated with crickets

Melbourne is currently being invaded by a swarm of crickets.

3AW’s Jacqui Felgate has been sent vision and photos of the insects flying around suburbs across the state.

Malvern Central Primary School Vice Principal Grant Durham said pupils at his school were horrified after discovering over 500 crickets on campus today.

“What we were met with can only be described as a horror movie,” he told 3AW Drive.

“They were literally coming out of the woodwork.”
