Melbourne cyclist slams head-first into car

A dashboard camera has captured the moment a Melbourne cyclist slammed head-first into a car last night.

The footage, first published on the Dashcam Owners Australia Facebook page, appears to show the cyclist careering in front of traffic on a red light.

The cyclist escaped without serious injury.

“Thank goodness the bike rider wasn’t hurt,” Craig Richards, CEO of the Bicycle Network, told 3AW Drive.

“Clearly he’s made a blue – we all make mistakes.”
