Melbourne man shares deeply concerning triple-0 experience
A resident in Melbourne south-east says the issues plaguing the state’s triple-0 call system haven’t gone away.
Eric told Neil Mitchell he called triple-0 six times in four minutes this morning when his wife became ill.
He claims six triple-0 calls failed, so he was forced to drive his wife to hospital himself.
“I got through the first time, they actually said ‘You’ve rung the emergency hotline’, then they put me through and it went dead,” he said.
“I did it again and exactly the same thing happened. The next four times I couldn’t get through at all.
“It’s not a good enough service. I’d hate to be having a heard attack.”
