Melbourne Metro Rail tunnel will run through area near Aboriginal burial site

There are concerns the Melbourne Metro Tunnel will run through an area near a possible Aboriginal burial site.

Planning documents show the 10 billion dollar project could hit graves off St Kilda Road. 

But, Melbourne Metro says the depth and alignment would have no impact on any communal burial place.

An environmental effects statement says the risk is low and protocols are in place to deal with any finds.
