Melbourne researchers use AI tool to make significant medical breakthrough

Researchers in Melbourne have found a cure for drug-resistant epilepsy in children, with the use of an AI tool.

Neurologist at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, Dr Emma Macdonald-Laurs, joined 3AW Breakfast to speak about the significant medical breakthrough.

“This tool highlights those very small regions and allows the surgeon and our team to know exactly where we’re operating,” Dr MacDonald-Laurs said.
