Melbourne’s baristas need an attitude makeover, labelled ‘too cool’ for school

Melburnians love their coffee.

But have our baristas become too cool for school?

Apparently so.

Maria Paoli runs the Historical Coffee Trek tours and told 3AW Breakfast there’d been a significant drop in customer service in recent times.

‘They’ve become quite rude over the last two years,’ she told Ross and John.

‘Baristas tell us how we should be drinking our coffee.

‘It’s the attitude which is completely unacceptable.’

Ross said he wasn’t surprised by the claims.

‘I find most of them way too cool for school,’ he said.
