Melbourne set for warmest day in three months

Melbourne is set for its warmest day in almost three months on Thursday.

But it’s not all good news on the weather front.

A severe weather warning has been issued for damaging winds later in the day, with gusts predicted to peak at 100 km/h.

However, the bureau has forecast a sunny day with a top temperature of 21 degrees – the city’s warmest day since May 22.
