Oscar, a year 12 student from an Eastern suburb state school has accused his teachers of using class time to influence the way his classmates vote in the upcoming federal election.

He says he has noticed with the election getting closer that his teachers were often revealing themselves to be biased towards left-wing views.

Oscar offered the example of a discussion on renewable energy policies of each major party in his Environmental Science class.

‘It’s not just in Environmental Science, it’s happening in English, and it’s happening more frequently as we come up to the election.’
