Melbourne Victory maintain their stance on ‘overwhelming’ police presence at grand final

Earlier in the week, the Melbourne Victory released a statement blasting the heavy police presence at the A-League Grand Final.
Melbourne Victory’s Managing Director Caroline Carnegie joined 3AW Drive and maintained the police presence that was seen at the grand final, painted the supporters in a poor light.
“There seems to be this narrative that because its a football match, we lump everyone into that same category, which is our concern,” Carnegie told Jacqui Felgate.

“We want to see a smaller police presence, the lines on Swan Street, people holding pellet guns are really concerning for the general public.”
