Melbourne’s 2022 Moomba Monarchs have been crowned

The 2022 Moomba monarchs have been named.

Much-loved 9News presenter Peter Hitchener and radio host Fifi Box will lead celebrations at the festival this year.

Mr Hitchener says “being crowned a Monarch allows me to step beyond the news desk and really connect with our greater community”.

Last year, three workers who worked tirelessly during the pandemic were crowned as Moomba Monarchs, while in 2022, comedians Julia Morris and Nazeem Hussain received the honour.
