Men who viewed used car allegedly return and steal it at knifepoint
Two men who went to look at a used car in Melbourne’s outer-east last night have allegedly returned to steal it at knifepoint.
The men went to look at the vehicle that was up for sale at a home on Belarra Drive, Mooroolbark around 7pm.
Police say the same two men returned about three hours later, this time armed with a knife.
They held up the owner of the vehicle, demanding they hand over the keys.
The men have then stolen the car that had been advertised along with another vehicle.
Police spotted both vehicles a few streets away.
They monitored them all the way to Geelong, where two men aged 24 and 26 were taken into custody.
