Metro Trains passes punctuality targets despite some lines failing to meet targets

Metro Trains has passed it’s network wide punctuality targets despite commuters on the city’s most unreliable lines experiencing more than three times as many delays and cancellations.

Spokesman for the Public Transport Users Association, Daniel Bowen says passengers on lines who don’t meet the target miss out on compensation.

“This has come up repeatedly … when people see their particular line isn’t going so well but somehow Metro scrape through on the overall compensation targets,” he told Heidi Murphy, filling in for Tom Elliott.
