There are few musicians more closely associated with Christmas than Michael Bublé.

This year marks 10 years since the release of his album, Christmas, and to mark the occasion, he’s released new a festive track – Christmas Sweater – and re-released a deluxe version of the album.

The crooner says many are under the impression he’s released multiple Christmas albums, but there’s only ever been one.

“For 10 years this record kept going number one, people kept saying ‘Hey, he’s putting out another Christmas record’ but I only put out one!,” he told Dee Dee.

“I’ll be honest with you, I knew I was making a good record … but we had no idea it would have the cultural impact that it’s had.”

The singer says if the festive album helps lift anyone’s mood this year, he’s proud to be a part of that.

“I think we need to lift each other up, and if Christmas, or these songs … are a small part of that, we’ve got to do our part, because we’ve been through a tonne,” he said.

But he’s poured cold water on the possibility of another full Christmas album.

“I don’t want to say this is the last hurrah but…,” he said. “I’d like to put my focus on what’s coming next.”
