Michael Christian ‘staggered’ Travis Cloke isn’t playing against Melbourne

Michael Christian believes Travis Cloke isn’t in Collingwood’s plans.

Cloke returned to the senior team against the Power in Round 11, but has been dropped again for Monday’s clash with Melbourne.

Premiership Magpie Christian told 3AW Football Cloke was good last week.

‘The conditions weren’t conducive for a tall forward. He set up a couple of goals. I’m absolutely staggered that he’s not playing on Monday,’ Christian said.

‘Given what he did last week, to not play him this week, you can only come to one conclusion: that he’s not in their plans.’

Christian said he thinks Cloke should be selected ahead of Jesse White and Mason Cox.

‘I feel sorry for him,’ he said.

‘When you bring him back, you give him an opportunity to prove himself back at the elite level.’
