Michelin star restaurant Tim Ho Wan opens in Melbourne

Restaurant juggernaut Tim Ho Wan will open in Melbourne today, and yum cha enthusiasts can expect a Michelin-star feed for under twenty bucks.

The cafeteria-style eatery has been a highly-anticipated addition to the Melbourne food scene and is known for its understated atmosphere.

3AW Breakfast spoke to Melbourne foodie Wendy Hargreaves, who attended the opening last night. She said the cuisine was some of the best she had come across. 

‘It’s delicious food,’ Wendy said. ‘The siu mai was the best I’ve ever tasted.’

‘Expect some queues up Bourke Street.’
