The heavily fortified mansion of underworld figure Mick Gatto is on the market.

Purchased in 2005 for $2.1 million, the five-bedroom, five-bathroom mansion at Lower Plenty is expected to fetch almost $4 million.

Inspections are by appointment only.

The house features a boxing ring, sauna and significant security features.

Ross and John spoke with Rocco Montanaro, from Morrison Kleeman Estate Agents, about the property.

Sly of the Underworld has visited the mansion and shared a few insights with Ross and John.

‘I asked Mick ‘Why all the security – is that to keep burglars out?’ And he said ‘No that’s to keep them in, if they break in so they can’t get out’,’ Sly said.

He said there was ‘more security than Crown Casino’.
