Military veteran of 20 years refused entry to Watsonia Dawn Service
WORD ON THE STREET
An army veteran has been refused entry to his former barracks for the Dawn Service.
Dave, who spent over 20 years in the military, told Tom Elliott he prefers to attend the Dawn Service at Simpson Barracks to meet up with old friends, and because the city is too crowded.
But now, only soldiers and their immediate family can attend at Watsonia’s Simpson Barracks.
He said it the rules have changed due to ‘this terrorist s–t’.
3AW is chasing confirmation but we believe it to be true.
