Highly controversial political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos has hit back Richard Di Natale over claims the Greens leader made about him on 3AW Drive.

Senator Di Natale wants Yiannopoulos banned from speaking at an event being held at Parliament House next week.

He branded Yiannopoulos a white supremacist, sexist, misogynist and paedophile apologist during his regular spot with Tom Elliott this week.

Yiannopolous, who landed in Australia this week, returned serve on Wednesday.

“He said far worse things, too, bless him,” Yiannopolous said on 3AW Drive.

“This is what the Left does when they can’t beat you on the facts, they can’t beat you on merit – they call you names instead.

“If I’m a ‘white supremacist’ as he claims, then I’m not a very good one – my husband is African-American.

“If I’m any of the things he suggests … I’m not doing very well at it.

“You can always tell when greenies and lefties are worried, or panicky, or afraid of somebody because instead of combating with facts, logic and reason – they call us names.

“They call us racists, they call us sexists, they call us whatever it takes to get us banned from venues, public life, to desperately stop people from listening to us.

“Unfortunately for them, it’s not working.”
