Devastated farmer makes emotional plea for return of miniature ponies
A devastated farmer from central Victoria has made an emotional plea for the return of his one-month-old miniature pony and its mother, after the pair were stolen last month.
Chris Rossiter told Tony Jones the mare and foal were taken about midday on Christmas Eve last year, with a large three-horse float seen leaving his Avoca property.
“It had to be well planned, they came in from the other direction, got the ponies in the lane and caught them,” he said.
“I’m just devastated.
“Please bring them back.
“They’re part of the family, we love our little ponies, I don’t know why anyone would do that.”

The mare is black with a white spot on her nose and the foal is chestnut brown and was only one-month-old at the time.
The horses are branded and sale yards have been notified but Chris has had no leads at this stage.
