The Minister for Industry, Energy and Emissions Reduction says he hopes Australia can “get on with it” now it has finally committed to a target of net zero emissions by 2050.

Angus Taylor told Tom Elliott his vision was for a “practical, achievable” pathway to drive down emissions.

“My hope is we just get on with it and do this in a sensible way which protects jobs, creates opportunities for all Australians, and strengthens traditional industries like agriculture and manufacturing and labor comes in behind it,” he said.
