Miss Universe bungle: In defence of Steve Harvey

Justin Smith reckons whoever wrote the Miss Universe announcement card owes host Steve Harvey a beer.

Harvey made international headlines after incorrectly announcing Miss Colombia as Miss Universe before correctly re-announcing Miss Philippines after it was way too late.

Harvey took full responsibility on Twitter, but Justin reckons he was thrown under the bus.

‘Have you seen the card?’ he asked on 3AW Breakfast?

‘It think you would make the card a little clearer. Use a highlighter, maybe?’

Kate was less forgiving…

‘I think he just got a little confused and you can’t allow for people being stupid.’
