Three missing children have been located by a Melbourne television reporter more than 60 kilometres from home.

The boys aged 9, 10 and 12 were found by Channel 7 News reporter Dean Felton in South Melbourne after going missing on Sunday night.

Dean tells 3AW’s Tony Jones the boys were very nervous and denied who they were at first.

‘They hitched a ride to Melbourne with someone they didn’t know. That’s a little worrying if true,’ he tells 3AW Mornings.

The kids told Dean they stayed the night at a friends house.

Jai Masters, Beau Masters, and Chase Masters are reportedly doing well.
