Monash Councillors have been labelled ‘childish’ and now have to place their hands on their head if they want to speak at council meetings.

3AW Breakfast spoke with Councillor Geoff Lake, the Mayor of the City of Monash.

He says it is true and will be introduced next week.

‘Rather than disruption that normal causes, we’re going to require councillors to signal a point of order by putting their hands on their head’

‘How’s this going to stop it? There’s going to be 20 councillor’s with their hands on their head’ – says Burnso.
