More Aussies Google their symptoms than go to a doctor

Despite being warned against self-diagnosis, three in five Australians continue to use Google instead of visiting a GP.
As reported in the Herald Sun, doctors are being urged not to be annoyed at patients who have Googled their symptoms before making an appointment.
Dr Richard Kidd, Chair of the Australian Medical Association Council of General Practice, told Justin and Kate there are positives and negatives to Dr Google.
“Well like most things technological it can be could or bad, it could cause a lot of distress,” he said.
“But the Victorian health channel is particularly good, the Mayo Clinic is another one.”
