More than $1 million stolen from Toorak home of Andrew Abercrombie, holiday home also targetted

Brazen thieves have hit the luxury home of one of Melbourne’s richest men, a week before his Portsea holiday home was also targetted.
More than $1 million worth of jewels were stolen from the Toorak mansion of Andrew Abercrombie.
He’d just left for an overseas trip with his wife.
CCTV images show three men breaking into the house and escaping with a safe in a wheelie bin.
The alarm system was not on and an elderly relative was inside the house at the time.
A week later, Mr Abercrombie’s Portsea cliff top holiday home was also raided.
Police have not established if the robberies are linked.
