More than 100 puppies and dogs rescued after RSPCA raid at Longwood
Around 120 dogs and puppies have been rescued after RSPCA raids on two properties in Victoria’s north.
Warrants were carried out at Longwood on Tuesday, with 119 small-breed dogs rescued and another 50 surrendered.
The remaining dogs were seized under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
The dogs, which included Chihuahuas, Chinese Crested and Spaniels were allegedly living in small cages and squalid conditions.
Four deceased dogs were also removed from one of the properties.
