More than $100 000 worth of cigarettes have been stolen in a series of burglaries targeting service stations in the state’s south-east.

Press PLAY to hear the latest from police

The thefts occurred between July and this month in Lang Lang, Koo Wee Rup and Lyndhurst with five incidents across three petrol stations.

Police say in each case, a male offender forced his way through the roof before cutting the locks to the cigarette cabinets and stealing large quantities of packets of cigarettes.

On the last occasion, it is believed a second man waited outside and assisted with carrying bags of cigarettes to a waiting vehicle.

The first man is described to be aged about 25-35-years-old, 178cm tall with a slim/athletic build.

The second man is described to be 30-40-years old, 178 cm tall with a solid build.
