More than 20 kangaroos killed ‘inhumanely and illegally’ at Lancefield

Wildlife rangers are angry and upset more than 20 kangaroos nursed back to health after bushfires were culled inhumanely.

Mel Fraser told Tom Elliott the roos had been shot ‘illegally’ and not in the head, as required.

‘Every single kangaroo was shot illegally and inhumanely,’ she said on 3AW Drive.

‘Every single one of these kangaroos had body shots.’

But the man responsible for shooting the roos disputed Ms Fraser’s claims and said he welcomed any review into the cull.

He rang Tom Elliott to defend himself.
