Tools worth more than $20,000 snatched from tradies in string of callous thefts

A callous thief has targeted several tradies in a string of car thefts in the Hawthorn area.

A male offender targeted several vehicles belonging to tradespeople, stealing more than $20,000 worth of tools in the early hours of August 19.

A black VW Amarok with distinctive chrome rims has been captured on CCTV at the site of the thefts.

Investigators have released images of the Black VW Amarok, and a man who they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
