RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A Mornington Peninsula netballer achieved an unbelievable feat at the weekend — she scored her 1000th goal in the 2022 season.

Somerville Netball Club goal shooter Emma Ryde reached the remarkable milestone in just 17 games. That equates to an average of more than 58 goals per game!

Somerville is top of the ladder with only one loss so far this season and Ms Ryde says her teammates are outstanding players.

“I think everyone else on the team are pretty great players too and I think they can get the job done with or without me!,” she told Ross and Russel.

“My goal attack is very generous, she actually wants quite a bit of credit for a thousand goal assists!”
