The Mornington Peninsula is set to shine, as it displays some of DreamWorks best known characters such as Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and many more.

In an Australian first, the exhibition will feature more than 100 of DreamWorks Animation’s best known characters, all in a large-scale lantern experience.

Speaking on 3AW Afternoons, Director of Operations and Industry Relations with Mornington Peninsula Tourism, Angela Cleland, said the lanterns have a Chinese influence.

‘The lanterns are made out of beautiful silk, and they’re all lit up, and they’re quite sizeable too’.

The state government is supporting the event through the $20 million Regional Events Fund, which funds events in regional Victoria.

Lights by DreamWorks ? The Experience is on at The Village Green in Rosebud brom the 25th March – 3th April. Tickets are on sale now, visit dreamworkslights.com.au
