Mornington Peninsula woman slashed with knife before thieves make off with her shoes

RUMOUR CONFIRMED

A woman has been pushed to the ground and slashed with a knife before having her shoes stolen on the Mornington Peninsula.

The woman confronted two men in the front yard of a vacant property on Ronlyn Street in Capel Sound at about 8.20pm last night.

One of the men lashed out, attempting to punch the woman before producing a knife and slashed her leg.

The victim was then forced to hand over her runners before the two men fled.

The men have been described as Caucasian in appearance and aged between 15 and 20.
