Motion of no confidence overwhelmingly succeeds against the Corrections Victoria Commissioner

A vote of no confidence has been carried out by the state’s prison officers and support staff against the Corrections Victorian Commissioner, Larissa Strong.
Community and Public Sector Union secretary Karen Batt says the result, with over 94 per cent of staff voting against the commissioner, was not a surprise.
“There’s been some quite significant disquiet with the response from senior management, in particular the commissioner, in relation to the series of assaults on staff,” she said.
