Motorbike rider killed following collision with truck near Bendigo

A motorbike rider has been killed after colliding with a truck at Marong, near Bendigo.

The vehicles collided on the Calder Alternative Highway at midday on Tuesday.

The man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 29-year-old New South Wales man, was not injured and is assisting police.
