Motorcyclist dies after Peninsula Link crash

A motorcyclist has died in a crash at Carrum Downs, in Melbourne’s south-east.

Investigators believe the rider had exited from Eastlink and was travelling south along Peninsula Link before he lost control and crashed at about 8pm last night.

The man, who has not yet been formally identified, died at the scene.

There have been 54 lives lost on Victoria’s roads this year, compared to 40 at the same time last year.
