Motorcyclist killed at Ferntree Gully

A motorcyclist has died after colliding with a car on Ferntree Gully road at Ferntree Gully.

The accident happened at the intersection of Dawson Street and Burwood Highway around 12.20pm on Friday.

Paramedics made attempts to revive the man – but he was unable to be saved.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are unknown and police are investigating.

It’s the 25th fatal motorcycle accident this year, bringing the state’s road toll to 82 – 11 more than at the same point last year.
