Motorcyclist left with serious injuries following serious crash in CBD

A motorcyclist has been left with a serious head injury after a crash in the CBD.

The intersection of Elizabeth Street and Lonsdale streets has been completely blocked off.

Trams in the area are also being impacted.

It’s believed a motorbike rider, aged in his 30s, came off his bike around 9.15am.

No one else was injured during the incident.

Elizabeth Street remains closed to all vehicles between Little Lonsdale and Bourke streets following the crash.

There has been a serious collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Lonsdale Street and Elizabeth Street. We would advise members of the public to stay clear and avoid area for the time being.
