Motorists shaken by spate of dangerous rock throwing incidents in Geelong
Several vehicles have been damaged and one person injured in a series of rock throwing incidents on the Geelong Ring Road.
Police say rocks thrown from the Creamery Road overpass in Corio hit vehicles on 22nd, 23rd and 29th of June.
On June 22, the front windscreen of a vehicle was struck just before 6am.
The following day, a 52-year-old man was travelling south-bound when his front windscreen was struck by two rocks at about 2am.
He took evasive action, side-swiping the barrier.
The driver sustained minor injuries in the frightening incident.
On Wednesday this week, a husband and wife travelling in convoy in separate vehicles passed under the overpass at about 10.20pm.
Rocks thrown from the overpass struck the windscreen and bonnet of the first vehicle and the roof of the second vehicle, leaving the motorists extremely shaken.
Police are appealing for any witnesses around the Ring Road area at the time of these incidents to come forward.
