A Melbourne mother has shared a heartfelt thank you to an anonymous good samaritan who paid off her Christmas layby.

Aimee Carol was shocked when she went to Kmart in Rowville to make final payments on presents for her children and was told they’d already been paid for.

“A lovely customer came in and picked five laybys that were Christmas toys and completely paid them off,” she told Shane McInnes, filling in for Neil Mitchell.

“It’s huge, it just took so much pressure off … it meant the world. It really, really helped.”
