Mum of four starts ridesharing business for women and children

The ridesharing industry is about to expand with mum of four George McEncroe creating a taxi for women and children.

The business is called Mum’s Taxi and the idea is to provide safer transport for families and help women who are looking for safe and flexible work.

Ms McEnroe told Ross and John this morning that only 12 per cent of women are in ridesharing roles.

‘I can’t help but think that possibly like me the fear of getting in a cab with three drunk blokes at night is quite intimidating,’ Ms McEnroe said.

‘And I wonder if the thought of driving around other mums or kids or women their own age would be less so – then we’d see more women taking on this flexible work.’

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a mum to drive.
