Murrindindi Shire Council increases one man’s rates by 38%

Paul Furst lost a house in the Black Saturday bushfires. 

Now, Tom Elliott has heard Murrindindi Shire Council has jacked up the rates on the land by a staggering 38%.

‘It makes a mockery of the State Government’s commitment to keep rates down to a 2.5% increase,’ Mr Furst said.
