Muscat calls for video review system

The video review system is a common topic amongst two of the leading summer sports in Australia right now.

In cricket, the DRS has come under fire for what some experts have labelled as dodgy decisions against Australian batsman in the first Test.

Meanwhile in the A/League, Victory coach Kevin Muscat certainly would have benefited from a similar system last weekend.

Sydney FC striker Dave Carney looked to touch the ball with his hand before finding the back of the net on Saturday night, which prompted Muscat to raise the idea of a video replay for such crucial calls.

‘If the referee’s do need some assistance in those situations, why not?’ Muscat said on 3AW Sports Today.

‘As long as the right outcome is taken, I don’t think anyone can complain with it.’
