RUMOUR CONFIRMED

The newly expanding tap-and-go fare system set to replace Myki cards has been accused of hitting commuters with charges for just standing in the wrong place.

Press PLAY to hear how commuters are being double charged

Speaking with Ross and Russ, President of the Public Transport Users Association, Tony Morton, blamed a calibration issue for the unsolicited charges.

“This is to iron out what evidently seemed to be potential teething problems with the technology” Morton said.
