Mystery surrounds woman found with serious injuries in Bulleen

Police are calling for public assistance to ascertain what happened to a woman found with serious injuries in Bulleen on Friday.

A naked 33-year-old woman, with bruises and cuts, was found on Helene Street at about 4pm.

She was taken to hospital in a serious condition.

Investigators have not been able to ascertain how she ended up on the street or how she was assaulted.

Police believe a man in a white ute got out of his vehicle and spoke to the woman before returning to the vehicle and driving off, and a cyclist in a yellow helmet may have witnessed something.

Polcie are calling for the motorist and cyclist, as well as anyone with dashcam footage from Templestowe Road or Helene Street between 3pm and 4pm on Friday to come forward.
