Tennis writer Ben Rothenberg says he’s been impressed by Naomi Osaka’s comeback to the tour after taking maternity leave.

The four-time Grand Slam champion’s unique story has been recounted in a new book – written by Rothenberg – and Osaka has “looked good” on her return, which began in Brisbane last week ahead of the Australian Open.

“She’s looked good so far and a lot of people are (hoping she does well,” he told Heidi Murphy on 3AW Drive.

Rothenberg also had his predictions for how Osaka’s first Grand Slam tournament since giving birth would go, as well as giving a fascinating insight into her upbringing.
