NASA official claims astronauts will be living and working on the moon by 2030
A NASA official says astronauts are on course to live and work on the moon before the end of the decade.
Head of NASA’s Orion lunar spacecraft program, Howard Hu, told the BBC “certainly, in this decade, we are going to have people living for durations”.
Founder and host of The Space Show, Dr David Livingston, says he believes it’s “very possible” but only because of private enterprise.
“If you ask me if NASA is going to do it I would say they’re talking wishful thinking, it won’t happen. But it might well happen with adding in the commercial sector and their cost efficiency and their technical improvements,” he told Ross and Russel.
“It’s very possible.”
