Nashville local and journalist, Alex Apple, has reacted to another school shooting in America which occurred at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee where six people were killed.

Mr Apple’s mum works at the school and used to teach the shooter in kindergarten, and stated her mum is “distraught” by the shooting.

Mr Apple was annoyed on school shootings continuing to happen in America.

“Different country, different part of the planet but we’re all united and struggling against this kind of thing and it happens far too often,” he said.

Neil Mitchell thinks Australians are “very distressed” by the shooting and hopes America can learn from Australia’s tough gun laws.

“We’ve achieved something with our gun laws … can’t somebody in that country just have a look and say, can we learn something from Australia?” the 3AW Mornings host said.
