National Cabinet agrees to vaccinate Australia’s Olympic team before Tokyo games

Australia’s Olympic and Paralympic teams will be given priority access to the COVID-19 vaccine before the Tokyo games.

National Cabinet has agreed to vaccinate just over 2000 athletes and support staff ahead of the games.

They will now be filed under priority group 1B.

Federal health minister Greg Hunt said both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines would be used.
