Research has found children who experience sleep problems will also have behavioural issues and vice versa, with both responsible for the outcomes of the other.

Dr Jon Quach, lead research author and Honorary Fellow at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute, told Ross and John close to 5000 children were examined as part of the study.

“We followed children over ten years, 4-5-year-olds and up to 10-11-year-olds,” he said.

The study found the time transitioning from kinder to school was the most troublesome time for a child.
